June 1st marks the day of the release of Girls' Generation's first Japanese full album. The self-titled album has been receiving overwhelming responses and was officially ranked 1st on the Oricon Daily Album chart earlier today. The girls were up against Japanese rock band UVERworld and Japanese group J Soul Brothers, but eventually came out top with album sales of more than 70,000. The impressive figures are already gaining the attention of the Korean media, praising the girls for their new achievement. Girls' Generation has also successfully completed the first concert of their Japanese Arena tour in Osaka yesterday. Don't forget to get yourself a copy of their Japanese album to support the girls if you haven't done so!
