Girls' Generation Performs at 'SMTOWN Live World Tour III' in Taiwan
On June 9th, 2012, Girls’ Generation performed alongside their fellow SM Entertainment artists at Hsinchu County Stadium near Taipei, Taiwan for “SMTOWN Live World Tour III”. It was the second concert in the “SMTOWN Live World Tour III” series, with the first being at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California in the United States. Similar to the first concert in Anaheim, Girls’ Generation was joined by BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, SHINee, f(x), and EXO. They were also joined by Kangta and Zhang Liyin, who did not appear at the previous SMTOWN concert.
Girls’ Generation was able to fully perform as nine, as Yuri and Yoona were able to join their fellow members on stage after missing the Anaheim concert because of drama filming responsibilities. The girls performed the same set of songs as they did in California, plus one additional performance. Jessica once again sang “California Gurls” with her younger sister Krystal of f(x), and Girls’ Generation performed “Run Devil Run” with Taeyeon’s “Devil’s Cry” intro, “Genie”, “Kissing You”, “Himnae!”, “Gee”, and “The Boys”. Girls’ Generation – TTS also performed “Twinkle”, and the new performance that Taiwanese fans were treated with was a special collaboration with D.O., Luhan, Sehun, and Chanyeol of EXO for Usher’s “DJ Got Us Falling In Love Again”.
The next concert in the “SMTOWN Live World Tour III” series is scheduled to be in Tokyo, Japan on August 4th and 5th, 2012 at the Tokyo Dome. Written by: michaelroni@soshified Have a news item that you think Soshified should know about? Leave us a tip or e-mail us at tip@soshified.com. |
