Jessica’s Portrait of Sunny Displayed at New York’s Museum of Modern Art

On a recent episode of Star King, Jessica participated in a sketching competition with Yoo Hyunsang and Boom in which the three attempted to draw a portrait of Sunny. Jessica’s drawing of Sunny, which turned out to be a stunningly beautiful portrait, gained so much attention across the world that it was recently put up on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

The museum’s curator was quoted as saying, “Honestly, I had heard a little bit about Jessica and Girls’ Generation after their recent performance at Madison Square Garden, but I didn’t really know that much about them. Once I discovered that Jessica is a multi-talented artist who can sing, dance, AND draw, I decided it would be wonderful to display her recent portraiture work in our museum.”

Ever since Jessica’s portrait of Sunny went on display, the museum has seen daily attendance increase by nearly 90%. Guests visiting the museum were overheard making comments such as, “The portrait is incredible. It really captures Sunny’s natural beauty” and “I want to learn more about Girls’ Generation now because I was so impressed with the idea that a pop singer could also be such a skilled portrait artist.”

The strong positive reaction shown at the Museum of Modern Art in New York has led to rumors that Jessica’s drawing will next be featured at the world-famous Louvre in Paris, France. Also, museum curators and art collectors from around the world have been showing interest in commissioning Jessica to create even more artwork for them to purchase and display. SM Entertainment has refused to comment on the possibility of Jessica being a regularly working portrait artist in addition to her responsibilities within Girls’ Generation.
